Alexander Cooke, Liam, Bianca, & Lochlainn at Loggerhead with the Mascots
Bianca and I met in New York City in what seems like a couple of years ago, however, our 14th wedding anniversary will coincide with this election in March.
Liam joined us in June of 2011. He was born in Pasadena, CA, where we lived and worked at the time. As many of you know we were blessed with our second child, Lochlainn, a month after I was elected to the Town Council in 2022.
We were licensed foster parents in Florida and we were fortunate to have cared for several young children over the past few years.
Since October 2017, I have lived in Palm Beach County in both Juno Beach and Jupiter.
Wife (Bianca), sons (Liam & Lochlainn), two dogs (Mimo and Bell) and two cats (Stella and Tiger).

One of Cooke’s earliest and most significant actions as mayor was leading an overhaul of Juno Beach’s zoning and development regulations to curb overdevelopment and preserve the town’s small‑scale character. He pushed to reverse looser standards that allowed higher density and taller buildings, reinstating stricter ratios designed for a small coastal town rather than a city
Impact:
Cooke became a vocal critic of Florida’s Live Local Act (Senate Bill 102), arguing it stripped small municipalities of zoning authority and favored developers at the expense of infrastructure capacity and community character. He publicly warned that the law could “set small towns up for failure” by forcing growth without adequate planning
Impact:
Cooke distinguished himself politically by refusing a mayoral salary, rejecting all campaign donations, stating this was to avoid any perception of influence or quid pro quo governance
Impact:
Drawing on his professional background in finance, Cooke worked to strengthen municipal financial oversight, including improving auditing practices and advocating for tighter budget controls and transparency at the town level
Impact:
He emphasized proactive planning to prevent costly emergency failures in a low‑lying coastal environment
Under Cooke’s leadership, the town prioritized long‑deferred infrastructure issues
Impact:
Cooke consistently framed development decisions around protecting parks, beaches, and preserved land, noting that roughly 45% of Juno Beach’s footprint is conserved land and should remain so.
