It was my pleasure to serve for the past 2 years
In the last year we have seen numerous developers show up with plans that exceed height zoning, density zoning, and don't fit the character of Juno Beach. We are not a city and shouldn't have to worry about being turned into one. I have made multiple stands against this and I believe the residents are behind me on maintaining the character of a small beach town. I have corrected our codes to better protect us from overdevelopment, one of the first actions I made as your Mayor was to make our commercial district codes more conducive to maintaining our small town.
I bring a rare and extensive financial background to the political field. I have used my experiences to hire better financial auditors for the town and to create an Audit Committee to enforce proper oversight of finances and controls which we have been sorely lacking. I have gotten things done for the town at a rate not seen previously.
Juno Beach is at a crossroad, updating and moving into the next decade will require changes and repairs in order to keep up with advancing technology and lifestyle changes from evolving workplaces. From traffic calming to proper planning, we want this beach town to stay a place where people wish to be and residents are excited to call home. To that end I made sure we got to work on the Universal Storm Drain and Sewage situation, something I would have completed 10 years ago had I been your Mayor at the time.
I research, exhaustively, everything I do, all outcomes/possibilities are weighed before both judgement and decision is made. My decisions do not come from a single slant. I operate to the highest ethical standard possible. I will always put the best interests of the town first in every decision made.
